The Montessori way

Real jobs build real confidence

  • Your child chooses the work

Low shelves let your child pick a task and stay with it, often for 40 minutes.

  • They learn to do it alone

Pouring water, buttoning a coat, slicing a banana. Small wins that make your mornings at home easier too.

  • Older friends show the way

Mixed ages mean fours help twos, and your child learns by teaching a younger friend.

“In September Maya cried at the gate. By half term she was pouring her own milk and teaching me to fold a napkin.”

A morning here

What your child does between drop-off and lunch

  1. 8:00 am

    Hang up their own coat

A calm drop-off. Your child greets their key person and finds their peg.

  2. 8:30 am

    Three hours of chosen work

Maths beads, map puzzles, sounds and art, one task at a time, no rushing.

  3. Three toddlers serve themselves fruit from bowls at a low white table
    10:00 am

    A snack they serve

Children slice fruit, pour water and wash their own cup.

  4. 11:00 am

    Out in the garden

Digging, planting and puddles in our walled garden, whatever the weather.

  5. 12:00 pm

    Lunch at little tables

Hot food cooked here, then home time or a quiet afternoon.

Pour it, button it, plant it, tidy it.

Good to know

Questions parents ask at the gate

Does my child need to be potty trained?

No. The Acorns room has its own changing area, and we help with toilet learning when your child is ready.

What are the staff ratios?

One adult to four children aged 2, and one to eight for ages 3 to 5. Most days we run better than that.

When can my child start?

Any month a space is open. Join the waitlist and we offer you the first place that fits your days.

How do funded hours work?

Bring your 15 or 30 hour code and we check it with you. You only pay for meals and any extra hours.

What about food and allergies?

Lunch is cooked on site, nut-free, with vegetarian and dairy-free choices every day.

Are you Ofsted registered?

Yes. Our latest Ofsted report is linked in the footer, and we are happy to talk it through on your visit.
